Further dismantling of our sculpture trail at Stourqrhead

Further dismantling of our sculpture trail at Stourhead "Stourhead will never forget". This commemorated the effect of World War 1 on the community. One of our installations commemorated Harry Hoare, the heir to the estate. We created an Edwardian nursery to celebrate his childhood at Stourhead. He was killed in Palestine in December 1917.Above Rachel and Paul pull uphill the toy car from the nursery. The carousel in the nursery remains for a few more days.Bottom photo shows the central panel of the dismantled mural which commemorated Gallipoli where any local men fought. There was a rock formation   nicknamed the Anzac Sphinx. We may be showing some of the picees from Stourhead at other public venues in the summer.
