Nuts, bolts and spanners into sculpture

Turnpike Lane Lapwing London
We are always interested to see images of the birds that we are erecting in our Bird Henge in Wiltshire. In the unlikely setting of a street in Turnpike Lane north London is a picture of a Lapwing aka a Peewit. The dynamic Turnpike Arts Group have brightened up several streets with street art. Below an owl and a fox. Nearby a Banksy appeared on the side of a Poundland shop and disappeared.
We will have a Barn Owl in Bird Henge. The one below is more like a Tawny Owl. Our Lapwing/Peewit is up and survived the acid test of surviving some severe wind perched on its post. Its front needs a little adjustment but that is not the fault of the wind.

Peewit arrives at Bird Henge
We have added a Peewit, a.ka. a Lapwing to Bird Henge. Its progress can be seen by a public path between Heytesbury and Knook in Wiltshire. Some fifty years ago there were large flocks of these birds on ploughed fields in the county but they have become quite rare.Work in progress as it needs a bit of adjustment.
