Sculpture for Sustrans Sustainable Transport

We were asked by Sustrans in Torquay to make a sculpture on theme of cycling and sustainable transport which is the aim of this Bristol based charity. This was to be in collaboration with primary schools in the area. The idea was for schools to submit drawings and we would make a sculpture based on the most imaginative idea. Five schools took part. Stella Craft of  Priory School was the overall  winner above  and below are the winners from each school , Eden Park, Preston, Queensway and Sacred Heart. Most of the entries imagined transport to include modern comforts usch as I players. The winning one includes a jacuzzi, a bed and a toilet. We followed the winning drawing closely.  We have imagined it resting on the Sustrans cycle path between Ilfracombe in the north of Devon and Plymouth in the south.
